recurring events url behaviour
-
Hi,
It would be useful if I could change the default behaviour for the urls of recurring events.
Perhaps I’m wrong, but I can’t see a setting. Perhaps it just needs a a line of modified code???
Currently, if you click on the ‘base’ url for a recurring event, you get presented with the first recurring ever event in that series. (The date of the first event is added to the end of the url.)
e.g. http://retrotorque.com/social-network/classic-car-events/necpwa-york-monthly-club-meet/
automatically changes to:
http://retrotorque.com/social-network/classic-car-events/necpwa-york-monthly-club-meet-2013-01-03/
I’d like it so that (instead of the first ever event) the date of the next event (if there is one) in that series is added to the url.
The reason I’d find this so useful is that I’ve added a slider for featured events. Rather than adding the events to the slider individually, it’s much easier to add them as recurring events – as it’s a one-time job. The only problem is that I need the slides to point to the next recurring event in each series (easy if the urls had this modified behaviour).
Hope you can help,
Mathew Taylor
