Recurring payment for ACH order failed

    Our clients keep getting this error:

    “Recurring payment for order failed. Reason: This payment requires a mandate, but no existing madate was found. Collect mandate acceptance from the customer and try again, providing acceptance data in the mandate_date parameter.” It keeps on happening even when it’s already part of the setup.

    We saw that a recent version included a fix for “Mandate error for ACH payments when using checkout block.” Since we’re using the shortcode checkout ([woocommerce_checkout]), we’re not sure if that fix applies to our setup. Can you confirm?

    Hi @jemjlmarketing

    Thank you for contacting Payment Plugins. The support ticket you’re referencing from 2024 was related to one time payments I believe and you’re issue is occuring during a subscription renewal payment.

    Were you using the Plaid integration in the past before Stripe offered their own ACH integration?

    Looks like it was used before. Is there anything we can do on our end so it doesn’t happen again?

    Can you share the payment method ID for one of these failed payments? That will tell me if it was a payment method created from the old Plaid integration.

    Hi @mrclayton. Do you mean this one pm_1RmQayKhGq8ewoIvSEEJxx5q? We used api to have an offline mandate and push the payment but that’s something we already did before and it keeps on happening on some of the orders still.

    Yes, that’s the one. That payment method ID is in the newer format so I don’t think this is an old payment method created using Plaid.

    I apologize but I don’t quite follow what you mean here. Can you provide some more details?

    Where you using another Stripe plugin at any point in the past?
