    Hi all! Has anyone figured out the following:

    I’m using the free Paid membership pro plugin and I’ve setup three subscriptions. I’ve installed Paypal, easy peasy so far. But then I run into a ‘problem.’

    How do I know, Paypal knows to send out the recurring payments every month? I have no idea if that is actually working now 🤣 HELP! 😁

    In another group someone said the recurring payment function in the free paid membership pro doesn’t work. Which is weird, because you do get to tick that box. Is that true?

    I want to see if this free version works well before I buy the full version. If the basics aren’t right, I don’t want to invest in it.

    Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

    Recurring payments do work in the base version of Paid Memberships Pro (downloaded on .org).

    What you can do is login to your PayPal merchant account and see if there are future payments/automatic payments linked to your account. This will indicate that subscriptions have been successfully created at time of checkout.

    What happens is that the payment gateway will store and handle the subscription, such as charging the user’s when needed and once they process the automatic payment it will send a notification to your site to create an order inside Paid Memberships Pro and then Paid Memberships Pro will update their membership status based on the payment status.

    All subscription information, in your case, will be available inside your merchant PayPal account.

    I hope this helps clear things up.

    Aaah, thank you! By base version of PMP you mean the free version or the paid version? I will give the Paypal tip a try regardless, to see if it works.

    I mean the free version that’s downloaded from ww.wp.xz.cn.

    Our ‘paid’ version is for a collection of Add Ons that add extra functionality to the free version.

    Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this.
