recurring Sept 11 attack ???

    I thought this was interesting in a strange sort of way.

    First, I noticed Wordfence had stopped a number of attacks on one of my sites. This was the message:
    Blocked for Malicious File Upload (Patterns)
    The second thing that was strange was the IP addresses were in the US. Usually attacks come from, well stranger places.
    So I did a search for this attack and, again strangely, found an entry on this support forum of this attack on someones site exactly one year ago.

    Thanks Wordfence for stopping it. Wonder if it repeats next year?

    Hi @eburden,

    Attempts to hack a site by uploading a malicious file are very frequent and I haven’t found any evidence suggesting a specific recurring attack on that particular date.

    In your case, did the attacker attempt to upload the exact same files as the ones specified in the topic you mentioned?
