    Hi,

    Scratched my head a few times trying to figure this one out.

    Trying to login but keep getting :

    wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.MYSITE.uk%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    What I have tried :

    htacess is clean with only wp code, even deleted it

    Renamed plugin folder

    Renamed theme and have just wp default theme

    Updated WP to latest version via Cpanel

    Whenever I try to login wp-admin or wp-login all I get is :

    wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.MYSITE.uk%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    Still no success, not even the login form?

    Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed

    I have three other site which are unaffected

    Hi

    It was on 7.1 so stepped it down for testing, no change.

    Here’s what I’m getting :

    wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.SITENAME.uk%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    Three days on this already tried every which way

    Disabled Plugins, Theme, delete htacess

    May end up deleting the whole site and start over IF I can retrieve all the data safely or find a way of removing WP and install a fresh copy

    Hmm, sounds really weird.
    Okay, now I’m gonna ask something that is WAY out there – but it can affect it all!
    In your database, in the wp_options-table, under Site URL and home URL – what does it say there???

    It should be your websites URL.
    I know it’s a long shot, but it’s worth a check in my opinion.

    Hi,

    Spent 6 hours today on this – total of 40hrs!

    I have done it all including overwriting wp files

    The only thing I have left to do is somehow interrogate the DB.

    The site works perfectly fine – just can’t login?

    All I get is :

    http://www.SIIENAME/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2FSIIENAME%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    Hi @rik0399,

    Yeah, debugging/troubleshooting can take time – I know if from bitter experience 😉
    Okay, now that we know the site- and home-url are as they should be, lets proceed.

    Have you tried renaming your .htaccess file? (before you do this, please take a backup first)

    I’m sure we’ll figure this one out 🙂
