Redirect Date-Based Archives

    Hi Fakhri – terrific plugin.

    How would I redirect any date-based archives to my blog page? For example, I’d like these…

    http://torontoseoguy.ca/2015/03/
    and
    http://torontoseoguy.ca/2015/03/23/

    to be 301 redirected to this page…

    http://torontoseoguy.ca/blog/

    … but not sure how to write it in the plugin because it’s more like a redirect ‘rule’ that would apply to many URLs – not just a redirect of a single URL.

    Appreciate any help you can provide and happy to donate for your efforts.

    PS: Currently my date-based archives are being redirected to my front page via Yoast WordPress SEO plugin option (as it only gives the option to redirect to the front page – not the blog page), but I will remove that option if I can 301 those archives to the blog page.

    Hi,

    You can simply redirect the folder “http://torontoseoguy.ca/2015/” to the page “http://torontoseoguy.ca/blog/” and check the feature “include sub-folders”

    Thanks Fakhri — that worked out great. I guess I need to do the same in the future for each year i.e. redirect /2016/ to /blog/ at start of 2016, etc., right?

    Also, I was about to make a donation but noticed that clicking on the Donate link from Clogica takes me to a page that appears to be a PayPal page in a frame within archive.org.

    My concern is this: Is the page secure? The archive.org page is not secure but it’s not entirely clear to me if the iframe PayPal page is secure, as I would be logging in to PayPal from there inside of a non-secure page.

    Anyway, I’d feel more comfortable if you could provide a link to a PayPal donation page where the sign-in URL is clearly marked as https.
