I need to redirect my Multi-site subsite administrators from logging in at subsite.mainsite.com/wp-admin. What can I change so that when they use the subsite.mainsite.com/wp-admin to login they are redirected to the home page frontend login area?

You can use this plug-in, so certain role users (like customers for instance) are redirected to that particular landing page:

(but is a paid plugin sad to say so)

Or you can use a simple .htaccess command line:

# Redirect URL
Redirect 301 /oldpage.html http://www.yoursite.com/newpage.html
Redirect 301 /oldpage2.html http://www.yoursite.com/folder/
