  • My thought is that most likely it is the canonical redirect that WordPress performs, that is causing the issue.

We have an add-on plugin that helps the Quick Page Post Redirect Plugin to deal with canonical redirect issues. Eventually this will be built into the plugin, but for now, it is only an add-on.

    You can get it here:
    http://fischercreativemedia.com/current-downloads/wordpress-no-guess-canonical1.0.1.zip

There are no settings, just install and activate.

Let me know if you still have issues.

Thanks for such a quick reply!

Unfortunately this did not fix the issue..

Can you send me a link to your actual site and some sample redirects you have set up?

You can send to [email protected] (reference https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/redirect-loop-error-8 )

I can then look at the headers and see what it is doing.

Don- please help me I keep getting-

This webpage has a redirect loop

    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

I uninstalled WordPress and re installed- removed all plug ins…and I am still facing this- I HAD a security program where I put in FBI.GOV for repeated log in attempts, and NOW that is where the log in sends me- FBI.GOV

I looked to my data base and all- PLEASE HELP

I am now 4 hours in and all I have done is gut my website
    http://www.stracservices.com

    thank you kindly- Jade

    Jade,
Did you resolve this? I am not seeing the redirect for the login screen.
If you are still getting the redirect, then it is possible that your browser is caching the redirect for you only. You may need to clear the browser cache and files.

To verify, you can open a ‘private’ or ‘incognito’ tab in your browser and visit your site and try it. If it is a browser cache issue, it will work normally in the incognito tab.

Please email me directly with any issue you may still have, as the initial support thread is now being marked as resolved for the initial request from eden000 is not resolved.

For those following this thread, the problem eden000 had, was there was a change in the page name structure which was causing the issue and she resolved this after she realized what was going on.

    Regards,
    Don
