    Hi,

Somehow when I try to import a simple CSV with 2 columns (old and new URL), the 301 redirect is not working. But when I add the exact same redirect manually via the plugin, it is working.

The same when trying to import in htaccess format. What am I doing wrong?

    For example:

/it/p/stretchy-deluxe-2e-kans-sand/ (column A) should redirect to https://www.bykay.com/it/p/stretchy-classic-minty-grey/ (column B). This only works when I do I manually, not via import.

    Not working how?

There is no difference between a manually created redirect and an imported one, so your imported one must not be valid CSV, or be otherwise not matching the URL you want to redirect

    Hi John,

Thank you for your reply. See this screenshot: https://imgur.com/PSkPIDx. You can see a simple Google spreadsheet with two columns. Column A is the old url, Column B is the new url. I convert it to CSV and then import it in the plugin. Then I get a error message that the page is not found / 404.

But when copying the exact same urls and paste them manually in the plugin. It works fine.

What do you recommend me to do? Because it are a lot of urls (hundreds) and doing it manually is not doable.

Sure, but what you see in Google is not necessarily what you are importing into the plugin. Do you have the CSV file? Does it import ok?

There is literally no difference between a redirect created manually or imported – it’s just data in the database. The only difference would be in what values you have in that data. For example, maybe there are spaces in your spreadsheet.
