    You don’t need domain mapping, just park website1.com on top of website2.com

    Do think doing so would affect any of my plugin configuations, like event esspresso?

    You’d have to ask them. I don’t know that particular plugin.

    Changing the domain would effect the license key for Event Espresso which would need to be reset at their end. I just had the host do a redirect to keep thing simple for now.
