Redirect suggestions?

    I set up Simply Static for a Divi theme site (on an overloaded shared hosting account, ugh), exported the files to a subdirectory, and was AMAZED by how much faster my website is. Perfect for my overloaded hosting account. Following the directions here — https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/not-working-with-some-elements-of-divi-theme/ — the fonts work, and even the slider works flawlessly(!!) all while loading in a small fraction of the time. THANK YOU!

    I am wondering if you have any suggestions for cPanel redirects, WordPress settings, etc. where I want the traffic forwarded to, say, http://whatever.com/html, but so I can still access the admin area on the original site at http://whatever.com/wp-admin.

    I tried a few configurations but ended up with endless redirects. :/ Any ideas?

    Thanks for the kind words! I’m glad to hear Simply Static has made your website much faster.

    I need a bit more information on what you’re trying to achieve in order to help. It kind of sounds like you want to host the static site and WordPress at the same domain (just in different directories)? If that’s what you’re trying to do, I wouldn’t recommend it. Instead, if possible, I’d host WordPress at a different subdomain/domain, e.g. http://wordpress.whatever.com and have your static site at http://whatever.com. Simply Static will almost certainly get super confused if you try to host the static site and WordPress together.
