Redirect URL Problem

    When creating the application in Microsoft Services I get “Your redirect domain is not valid or contains a word that isn’t allowed. Please reenter the URL or to request an exception, go to Microsoft Help and Support.” I am using the URL in Step 6 from the Instructions page. Any guidance appreciated.

    Hi barkz, could you share the URL you’ve been trying to use in the application registration? And also the domain you’ve specified earlier in the process?

    Target Domain: http://www.themicrosoftdude.com
    Root Domain: http://www.themicrosoftdude.com
    Redirect URL: http://www.themicrosoftdude.com/wp-admin/ — this is per the Instructions page from the Plugin settings.

    Error I get on the API Settings page is: Your redirect domain is not valid or contains a word that isn’t allowed. Please reenter the URL or to request an exception, go to Microsoft Help and Support.

    There seems to be an issue with the word Microsoft in the domain name.
    Is there another domain name which is pointing at your blog that you can use instead?

    Thanks for the help! I switched over to a different domain URL and everything is working now. Marking as resolved! On to the first post.
