Redirection

I have never been able to figure out WordPress’s series of redirection.

Now I have a website that when you got to http://thedomain.com/wp-admin I get redirected to http://thedomain.com/wp-admin/thedomain.com/wp-login.php which doesn’t exist.

I can’t for the life of me figure out where this redirection is taking place.
