Redirection After Permalink Change Not Working

    I’m trying to change a site’s permalink structure from /%postname%/ to /%category%/%postname%/ but it’s not working. It’s not redirecting and I’m getting 404 errors.

    Interestingly, the 404 error is not showing up in the plugins 404 log (and keep forever has been selected as the timeframe for that option).

    Is there anything else I can do to get the plugin to detect the permalink structure change and update the 301 redirect for all posts, or do I need to manually add a redirection for each post (and there are many).

    It all depends on how you have those redirects setup. Were they local redirects or did they have the full domain name? Do you have monitor posts on? Either way I would go in and try changing a few manually to see if that takes care of the issue, then you’ll know your answer.
