I have had the redirection plugin for a number of years with no problems. However, a week ago after updating a number of plugins and my storefront by WooCommerce theme my site has corrupted. I’ve had to deactivate the redirection plugin. I would like to active the plugin again, but every time I do it corrupts my site. Coursing Black boxes to appear rendering it unusable. Please can someone advice me on how to stop this happening?
    Thanks
    Tanya

Exactly how does it corrupt your website? Coursing black boxes doesn’t make any sense.

Basically the website is unusable. I can send you a screenshot if you will let me know how.

I don’t know how the plugin could possibly have that kind of effect.

A screenshot would be good, and being able to access the site would be even better. You can upload it somewhere and paste the link here or contact me at https://redirection.me/

Which part is corrupt? The squares in the menu bar? The only reason for something like that is if you have redirected one of these resources needed for your website.

I haven’t added a redirect in months. The only thing that changed was I updated some plugins and my theme and this happened. I then deactivated each plugin and the redirect plugin was coursing the problem. So not sure about what you mean. Cheers Tanya

Redirection only redirects things. It doesn’t have the ability to corrupt your website.

If you have created a redirect that happens to be redirecting some resources for your page to display properly, then that could explain the missing icons. However, I have no way to confirm that without seeing the website in action.

Your redirect log will probably indicate what URLs are being redirected.

I’m not sure how I can help you see that I havent done any redirects in a while. Hopefully this link may help you work out whats going on.

It doesn’t really matter when you did a redirect, it just matters what those redirects are.

If you have logging enabled then the log should show what redirects are taking place.

How do I know which logs are coursing the problem?

I don’t know. Have a look at them and see if any start appearing when the squares are present.

The black boxes are appearing on all pages. It doesn’t seem to be tied to a single redirect as its happening on pages. Ones that don’t have a redirect as well as once that do.

I may not have explained this well.

The missing icons are loaded from some resource on your site. It is possible you have a redirect that is affecting this resource, meaning that the icons cannot load. It is not related to a particular page.

Maybe you can export your redirects and send them to me?

How can I export the file to you? There is no upload option. Thanks Tanya
