Hi @robertham
We understand you want to transfer the redirects created from Yoast SEO Premium to the Redirection plugin. While we are not quite familiar with the Redirection plugin import feature, we still assume you can import the CSV file exported from Yoast SEO Premium. Upon a quick search, we found these help articles for you:

Hi Suwash, sorry, I didnt notice a notification email from WP
Those links don’t work but I don’t think its the right plugin anyway. My need isnt importing in to the plugin its more a matter of advice of pulling the information from my cpanel. I dont where I go to get that. I assume I go in to file manager but I need a bit of guidance from there as I’m not very experienced. Thanks, AndrewHi @robertham ,
Please check this article to know how you can use the import/export function of the plugin. There’s a specific export function for redirects if you still have the Yoast SEO Premium installed.
Thanks for getting back to me
As I’ve already explained to your team I no longer have Yoast premium, I downgraded to the free version as I can’t afford the renewal. They told me the redirects would be stored in my database. So as per my question, I’m just asking what file they would be stored in, then I can simply download them myself, no need for a plugin.
Kind regards
Andrew
Hi @robertham,
If you added PHP redirects, the serialized values are stored in the wup_options table using the following option names:
- wpseo-premium-redirects-base
- wpseo-premium-redirects-export-plain
- wpseo-premium-redirects-export-regex.
Thanks Priscilla
This is a bit above my head. So is this file in file manager or my database and if they are there are they active or do I need to download and import them in to my redirect plugin. I don’t need your advice on the import, there is a simple import function in the plugin, just need to know if they require a plugin to make them work or if they are active in the database regardless ?
Thanks
Andrew
Hi,
If you used the PHP redirects method, the redirects will still be in the database but won’t work if Yoast SEO Premium plugin isn’t active.
If you used .htaccess redirects, then the redirects will still work even when the Yoast SEO Premium plugin isn’t active.
Deactivating and deleting the Yoast SEO Premium plugin won’t remove the redirects in the database. All the redirects will remain in the database unless you clear them from the database manually.
Thanks Michael, so I just need to download them and import them in to my new redirect plugin correct ?
Kind regards
Andrew
Hi @robertham,
That is correct, they are still in your database, but as Priscilla mentioned before, they are stored in the options table of your database and there is no easy way to download that from within your database to a CSV file as that is stored in a different way into a MySQL database. If the premium version was still installed, you could go to SEO → Tools → Import and Export → Export redirects → Download a CSV file from there.
You may want to have a look if you still have the (older) installation file of the Yoast SEO Premium plugin so that you temporarily install it and activate it to download the CSV export file and then remove the plugin again. There is no other simple solution without the plugin being present, I’m afraid.
