Redirects is adding a query string

Example Redirect:

https://domain.com/destinations/new-zealand/
to
https://domain.com/destinations/where-next/new-zealand/

https://snag.gy/tif4IF.jpg

but when the redirect takes place, it adds a query string:

# curl -ILs https://domain.com/destinations/where-next/new-zealand/ |grep Location
Location: https://domain.com/destinations/new-zealand/?q=/destinations/where-next/new-zealand/&
Location: https://domain.com/destinations/new-zealand/?q=/destinations/where-next/new-zealand/

You can see it actually adds an additional redirect to remove the & being added to the end.

Server is running Nginx with wp-rocket.

RedirectType: Quick Page Post Redirect – Quick
Location: https://domain.com/destinations/new-zealand/?q=/destinations/where-next/new-zealand/&

I’ve temp disabled all plugins minus Quick Page Post Redirect to ensure it is not a plugin conflict.
