I am trying to set up 301 redivert links to a new website created on AEM. The domain has stayed the same, but we’ve had to move servers.

I am trying to divert from http://www.seidor.uk/sap-business-one to http://www.seidor.uk/content/seidor-uk/en/solutions/sap-business-one.html

When I try and enter the old URL an error message saying ‘Not Found – the requested URL was not found on this server’.

Is there some sort of connection between the two servers that needs to be established? Why can’t I get the redirect to work?

Hi,

301 Redirects needs to be installed on http://www.seidor.uk/ but http://www.seidor.uk/ doesn’t appear to be a WordPress website. And hence requests to http://www.seidor.uk/sap-business-one are handled by Apache. But if I try to open http://www.seidor.uk/ I get redirected to https://www.seidor.uk/content/seidor-uk/en.html

I’m not sure what your set up is, but if you do have 301 Redirects installed on https://www.seidor.uk/ then you will have to give me all the details, what is installed where, what rules you have in your .htaccess etc.

Hey Alex,

We recently switched from WordPress over to AEM. The domain is the same, but the menu structure is slightly different on the AEM site, so all of our ranking URLs are now returning 404s.

I’m not sure about the rules about the .htaccess as these are controlled by our IT department in HQ. Let me know what specific details you require.
