I want to be able to reduce the form height and ensure that it loads from the top of the page. At the moment it loads further down.

I just follow-up on your link and it looks problem-solving. However, here’s a documentation link on Login Form Customization.

For reducing the top space (which is also looks good now), you’ve to do it from custom CSS. Helping doc
