• Hi,

    Sorry if this has been answered before (I did look through the forum first). I am experiencing a loss of quality in images when I upload to wordpress. They look bold and crisp on my computer but dull (and slightly fuzzy) once I upload to wordpress. I’m assuming the modified/enhanced files are too big? I have tried individually reducing the size with some success, but it’s time consuming.
    Is there a simple fix for this? I’m not very technical!!

    Many thanks in advance – I LOVE the kale theme!

  • Hi there,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    The best image size for Kale is 1200x800px so the best way would be to resize your images to this size. Please note, that too large images shouldn’t reduce image quality.

    Could you send me the URL to your site so I’ll take a look into this?

    Best

    Hello, my site is bakingwithhoney.co.uk
    Having problems again with this – the photographs seem to lose all definition, it’s maddening!! Maybe this is a wordpress problem rather than a Kale problem, but I just don’t remember ever having this problem with previous themes.
    I really appreciate your help! Is there any way I can show you a screenshot as an example of the photographs side by side?

    Hi bakingwithhoney.

    If you’re referring to the image(s) in the homepage banner, please add this piece of code to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS:

    .frontpage-banner::before {
    	opacity: 0;
    }

    Otherwise, you can use https://prnt.sc/ to show us the screenshots.

    Kind regards.

    Thank you. I notice the problem with the homepage banner and also the featured image posts. I will try to send a picture now, thanks!

    Hi again, bakingwithhoney.

    Just wondering whether you’ve resolved the issue with images or you’d need additional assistance?

    Kind regards.
