Regarding using it with Elementor

It works with any editor that allows you to add shortcodes, and the description of the plugin seems to say that shortcodes are supported 🙂

There shouldn’t. I haven’t personally tested it, but I don’t see any reason why a shortcode (which is a standard WordPress functionality) wouldn’t work. There’s even a video explaining how to add one: https://docs.elementor.com/article/72-shortcode
