Could you please ensure that you are using the latest version of the plugin, version 6.5.2? Also, check your developer console and PHP logs for any errors that might be showing up. You can enable the Debug option in the settings to display more information in your logs.
The optimized and regular processes work differently, so if thumbnails aren’t being built in both cases, there might be an issue somewhere. Ensure that you are not using any filters that might interfere with custom sizes at the same time.
I am using the latest version of the plugin, 6.5.2.
Refresh Stats button does not work and does not display the results correctly.
The Build Thumbnails button in front of each photo does not work only for that photo, it involves all photos and creates Thumbnails for everyone.
Thumbnails are created only for jpg and png format and not for webp format photos.
