Register not working

    Hi orbetllc

    I too can’t register – it gives 500 error messages. For me it appears to be a problem with PHP 7.x
    What PHP are you running and have you recently updated your PHP?

    I have posted a support ticket seven days ago and am waiting for a response. In my post I have suggested an answer – which appears to work but I’m hoping the plugin author will confirm my suggestion.

    Hi htjoe38,

    I did not update anything, it just started happening after I changed some settings in clean-login settings, I’m not sure exactly because I changed a bunch of things, but I think it’s Captcha-related because that is one of the settings I enabled…

    It looks like I am using PHP 5.6.38.

    I tried your fix, it seems to be working for now.

    Last thing, I am also getting an error now when the email verification setting is checked on, when clicking on the activate link in the email it sends, it says the link is expired… I turned it off for now because I think the Captcha is enough. It was also not setting the user role properly when using email verification, but it works without.

    Hoping to hear back from clean-login support about these issues so I can get it working right finally.
