• So I just downloaded subscribe 2 and am just trying to set it up. Sorry if this question is stupid and has been previously asked but I couldn’t find it.

So while testing it to make sure it works I entered my email address and then it said that I had to log in.

How do I get rid of this so it’s just public users and not registered users?

    Thank you!

The difference between Public and Registered Subscribers is explained here:

    http://subscribe2.wordpress.com/support/faqs/#16

In order to ensure all of your future subscribers are Public Subscribers turn off the “Anyone can register” option in the core WordPress Settings->General page.

Anyone who can log into your WordPress install (including you) will be classed as a Registered User / Subscriber.

The “Anyone can register” is already turned off. No matter if it is on or off it says “To manage your subscription options please login.”

What version are you using? That should only happen if you enter an email address into the form that is already a Registered User in WordPress.
