    I’m using LoginPress 5.0, WordPress 6.8.1

I also have New User Approve plugin 2.6.5.2 installed.

When users register, the password they enter is getting stored incorrectly, forcing them to reset their password once they have been approved and they try to log back in.

I confirmed this by looking at the stored hash in the database.

The site is in a protected directory so providing access to it for troubleshooting isn’t possible.

I could set up a test account with the same plugins if needed.

But is this an issue you’ve heard of before?

Also is the new user verification feature mentioned in the page below a Pro feature? I don’t have it in the free version, but it’s not mentioned as an extra in the Pro version.

    Hey @aestheticdesign,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. Everything is working fine with LoginPress. This may likely be a site-specific issue, possibly due to any plugin conflicts or custom configurations.

To assist you further, could you please share access to a test site (as you mentioned)? That would help us replicate and resolve the issue more efficiently.

Also, for more streamlined support and follow-up, please continue this conversation via our Support Forum.

Regarding your question on New User Verification, yes this is a Pro feature.

    Looking forward to your response!

    Hey @aestheticdesign,

I’d like to take a moment to further clarify and provide additional context regarding your scenario, so you have a better understanding of how it works.

First, please note that LoginPress and New User Approve are two separate plugins. To better understand and assist you, could you please share the exact installation flow you followed? For instance, did you initially install LoginPress, then New User Approve, and start encountering the issue? Or was there a different installation sequence?

Based on the process you described regarding the incorrect, correct, or password reset flow, it seems that this behavior might be coming from the New User Approve plugin itself. From what we understand, once a user is approved, that plugin may be triggering a forced password reset as part of its functionality.

We recommend reaching out to the New User Approve plugin’s support team as well, since this behavior is likely handled on their end.

Lastly, in reference to your earlier query regarding the user verification feature, please note that this functionality is available exclusively in the premium version of the LoginPress plugin. To access and use this feature, an upgrade to the premium plan is required.

Feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance from our side.
