Register/login flow

When someone creates an account by posting a job, or a resume, they don’t fill in their own username and password. Both are generated and emailed to them, which I think is not very user-friendly.
When someone registers via de signup popup (jobify), they can chose their password, but they are not aware that the full name they just filled in, is also their username.
I would really prefer if they could use their email address as login, and always be able to choose their password, also on the post-a-job etc pages. Or maybe both a username + password + email address field, on all pages where both cadidates and employers can sign up.
What are your thoughts on this? Is there any chance you are going to do this soon?
