Registration – Automatically Unsubscribed

    Hello,

    When viewing Mailchimp, we are seeing new registrations being added to the system and automatically unsubscribed in the same minute. When viewing the user profile on Mailchimp we can see that the user gets added by the API, then in the same minute, above the added note it says “Unsubscribed via admin action.” While we do have double opt-in enabled, even the user opts in via the email link they are not resubscribed.

    Any ideas why this is happening?

    I don’t think you’re using our plugin (as I don’t see it on your website). I do see another similarly named plugin in use on your site, that’s not ours so I can’t help with that. I can only help with things related to the Mailchimp for WordPress plugin.

    Also I don’t think it would be possible for our plugin to unsubscribe a user in this way, unless you’re using a very outdated version or “usersync” which I also didn’t detect on your website.
