Registration form: Conditional field not working

Dear Support,
I have a problem on my website that seems to be knwon since at least 3 years (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/conditional-field-issue-on-registration-form/).
I need a selection of two user roles, A and B. Only when A is selected should another text input field be displayed, otherwise not.
I tried it with a dropdown and with a radio field for the user role selection and adjusted the conditions for displaying the text field (screenshot: https://prnt.sc/10somm6).
I want to avoid having two different registration forms to avoid confusion.
How can I solve this problem?

You must follow the documentation and use “contains” instead of empty and equals to.
Roles must be the UM slug too.https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/89-conditional-logic
You may use conditional logic with the field types “Roles (Dropdown)” and “Roles (Radio)”. In this case you should use these settings to manage conditional fields:
Action – “show”
Field – select the field-switcher;
Operator – “contains”;
Value – the slug of the target user role in the field-switcher.
