Registration Form Does Not Scroll To Validation Error Message

    We’re using the [businessdirectory-submit-listing] shortcode to display our registration form, as we are required to have a large amount of text before the form.

    When there’s a validation error in the submission of the form, the plugin doesn’t scroll down to that validation error. It simply loads the top of the page. Given our specific setup, the top of the page is nowhere near the validation error.

    This is proving to create problems for our clients as they can’t see the validation error message when the page reloads, so they simply abandon the their registration thinking that there is something wrong with the website.

    We’ve also noticed this to be the case in our Stripe checkout page, when using the ‘Use a custom form instead of a “Stripe Checkout” button’ option.

    Is it possible to make the plugin automatically scroll to the first validation error? This will improve the plugin greatly.

    Thank you for your suggestion!

    That’s something we can consider for future development, but not something the plugin allows for today, as you correctly point out. I’ve added this to our enhancement requests to be considered for a future version of the plugin.

    That would be brilliant if you could add this functionality to the plugin.
