    Hi,

I’ve just installed this plugin and am having a couple of issues:

First, I don’t need the Join Us page as I already have something similar on my site, therefore I’ve made it private – does this affect the plugin’s functionality at all? I’ve also changed the URL of the Registration page to be direct (‘/registration’) instead of via the Join Us page as was the default.

Second, when trying to set up the Registration page, I keep getting the message ‘Free Membership is disabled on this site. Please make a payment from the Join Us Page to pay for a Premium membership’. Why does this matter and how can I fix it?

I’d like members to click through my site onto the Registration page – without going through the Join Us page first – is this possible?

    Thanks for any help!

In regards to the Join Us page and the registration page; have you replaced the URL in the settings? Please check the following documentation for more information. Can you provide a screen capture of what you have done in the settings?

Second, when trying to set up the Registration page, I keep getting the message ‘Free Membership is disabled on this site. Please make a payment from the Join Us Page to pay for a Premium membership’. Why does this matter and how can I fix it?

Are you creating a free or paid membership registration site?

This depends on the answers you provide above. You might also like to check the following documentation in regards to the Join Us links.

Let me know if you need more help.

    Kind regards

Hi and thanks for the fast response.

Yes, I’ve changed the URL to: http://www.[mydomainname].com/registration – but the ‘Free Membership is disabled’ message persists.

It’s a paid membership site where users click through my Homepage onto the registration page (of this plugin) and then to Paypal to complete their registration.

I’ve read through the documentation but it doesn’t appear to be what I need for this purpose.

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi, are you using the Form Builder addon?

If you are not using the Form Builder addon do you have the following features enabled? If you do and you are not offering Free membership registration, can you disable these features. Let me know if the message goes away.

    Enable Free Membership
    Free Membership Level ID

You can find them under WP Membership -> Settings -> General Settings.

    Hi,

I’ve already disabled those features and the message continues to pop up. I’m also not using Form Builder.

    Thanks

What is your registration URL? What shortcode have you added in this page?

Hello, apologies for the delay – I totally forgot about this.

I found a fix around it by modifying the Join Us page to be the registration page.

However, I now have the issue of modifying the emails – is there an option to turn some emails off at all?

Thanks for your help so far.

What modification did you carry out? I would like to know if you don’t mind.

However, I now have the issue of modifying the emails – is there an option to turn some emails off at all?

What issue do you have? Which e-mails do you want to stop from being sent?

    Regards

    Hi,

The solution I mentioned – I simply placed the shortcode for my Registration page into the Join Us page.

Since payment constitutes registration on my site, I don’t need the Registration Complete email. Anyway to turn this off?

    Thanks.

The registration e-mail is part of the registration process. My question is, how are you wanting to achieve the registration process without the registration e-mail?

So it’s necessary to have all the emails?

I guess this plugin just isn’t right for my needs so I’ll stick to the one I was originally using.

    Thanks for your time anyway.
