Regular featured image removed when updating posts

    While I have the plugin enabled, if I try to update a post that has standard featured image set but no external featured image, it will cause the standard featured image to be unlinked (leaving the post with no featured images of any kind).

    If I have an external featured image selected as well as a normal one, everything seems to work fine.

    Also, if I disable the plugin, the standard featured image works as expected while updating a post.

    Try to install the default theme Twenty Sixteen and let me know if the behavior is the same.

    I’ve changed it over and I’m experiencing the same issue with the twenty-sixteen theme on.

    Create a post.
    Add regular featured image + save.
    Update the content (it could be any field) + save.
    Featured image is now empty again.
