    If we have regular redirect like /usr/(.*) to some other page but we do not want to create another automatic redirect, it is not working. Either we need to turn on in the settings the option to create automatic redirects so the regular expressions work or it is simply not working. Most probably a conflict of redirecting for regular expression with the settings.

    Redirects that include regular expressions are not automatic, they are manual. If you don’t want it to redirect then delete the redirect with the regular expression.

    That is not the problem. They do NOT work if we switch off in Options tab:

    Create automatic redirects:
    Automatically creates redirects based on best possible suggested page.

    That is the problem. The redirection must be working even if this options is off.

    I can’t reproduce this issue on my end. Are you using the latest version?

    If so, please do the following:

    * Delete the debug file
    * Turn on automatic redirects
    * navigate to the URL that should be redirecting
    * Turn off automatic redirects
    * navigate to the URL that should be redirecting
    * View the debug file
    * Paste the contents of the debug file at https://pastebin.com/
    * Put the pastebin link here.

    Do not paste the contents of the debug file here.

    Ok, here you go https://pastebin.com/vfBUJqWn

    I used this URL /usr/dakota-gordon

    First it passed well, with automatic redirect off it did not.

    Version is 2.21.15
