“Regularly delete old raw data” feature not working

Upon investigating, Its expected in most cases that there are some empty archive_numeric_* and archive_blob_* for older dates. However, 16kb is likely the minimum block size for their operating system and that is effectively empty.

Another option would be delete the data from the database by writing a SQL query, data related to Matomo_archive_blob tables of the database. Please take note that this option is not support via WordPress forum.

You can just delete the tables, eg DROP TABLE matomo_archive_blob_2013_01 and then the same for each month in 2013. But please take note that manually dropping tables, there is no option to recover it if you made a mistake. I would recommend to backup first and double check your queries before running them.

Lastly, the table might get recreated even if you delete it when you try to invalidate data or might be related to the automatic data deletion task which you can check for more information thru this link https://github.com/matomo-org/matomo/issues/19780
