    How can I reinstall this app? I canceled when it was trying to update the user.ini file because I was using a temp URL until mine gets forwarded.

    If you’ve made manual changes to your .user.ini file, a reinstall won’t revert the changes.

    Can you let me see what the current contents of .user.ini are?

    What you can do is remove auto_prepend_file = ***** within that file, and then reinstall Wordfence.

    I have not done anything to the user.ini file. Where is that file at? Is that just in that plugin folder?

    That file should be in your document root (in the same folder containing wp-content, wp-admin, etc).

    If you don’t have .user.ini, can you also check if .htaccess exists in the same folder?

    So just deactivating the plugin deleting and reinstalling wouldn’t fix it?

    It should resolve any issues with the installation itself.

    As long as you are not getting a fatal error reading “wordfence-waf.php not found” when loading pages – there should be no issues with your the user.ini changes.
