Related posts Not working

Hi! So i’m currently working for a magazine and we’re making some changes and cleaning the BO, the article pages have a column that shows the related articles but I’m have the issue that they’re not appearing, if I put the recent posts it appears but not the content I want, it appears content not related to that page particularly, otherwise is just stays blank! Please can anyone help me?? I have the related configured correctly! on some article pages I don’t have any problem e appears well on this and some others don’t!
