Yes. I tried with this but couldn’t got what I wanted. Maybe wrong settings? How to set up the plugin correctly?
You should disable the full text option that the addon adds.
where is the option that should be disabled?
WebberZone, thanks for the reply
but I could not even make it work.
I disabled the option as indicated.
but are not related posts by categories 🙁
where I could be missing in the configuration?
follows the full print, the plugin settings screen.

Thank you so much

I can confirm that I tried many variants and wasn’t able to force CRP to work on taxonomies.
The only working way is to disable “Contextual Related Posts Taxonomy Tools” plugin and uncheck “Find related posts based on content as well as title” parameter. But then must remember to put keywords in title except of post categories ;-(
WebberZone,
I could give you access to my website if you want to verify this
Hi,
Ideally I’d prefer access to a staging site which would be an exact copy. I prefer not to work on live sites since it doesn’t allow me to debug as needed.
If you have a staging site, you can send me access details via https://webberzone.com/contact/
Please do refer to this thread. For debugging purposes please ensure you install Query Monitor plugin on your staging site.
koda0601,
Were you able to resolve this? I think I am having the same problem. I really like the way this plugin looks on the page so I don’t want to use a different plugin, but I want to show posts related to categories within a custom taxonomy and not by title or content.
Hi TrinaVL,
finally yes but had to install “supportive” plugin which allows to use global categories withing all pages/posts: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/add-tags-and-category-to-page/
Hi Koda0601,
Thanks. I will look into that some more. I was able to get a little closer to what I was trying to do by using a supportive plugin too. The one I added was made by WebberZone so it adds to the original plugin. Here’s the page if you want to look at it. https://webberzone.com/downloads/crp-taxonomy/ Thanks for your response!
Ha! Sorry, I have read so many threads in the last week that I didn’t realize this was the thread I found that addon on. I should’ve read up before responding.
Trina, I think the plugin that Koda posted is also a good addition to check out.
