WP STAGING 4.7.2 improves the security and usability of Remote Sync, fixes several issues around authentication, logging, and multisite UX, and includes major internal improvements to testing and release automation. Highlights

• Remote Sync now includes a toggle to enable or disable incoming connections
• Connection keys are now masked by default for improved security
• Improved backup page UX for free users on multisite
• Better handling of fast database sync re-authentication
• Clearer authentication errors when syncing between single site, multisite, and subsites
• Improved visibility of Remote Sync information in logs
• Better button readability in dark mode

Internal Improvements

This release also includes several developer-focused upgrades, including a new automated CI release pipeline, Playwright migration for backup E2E tests, cleaner CI reporting, and reduced attack surface by moving test-only cleanup logic out of production code.
