• You have to know what you are doing, when configuring SMTP, but if you do, WP Mail SMTP allows you to set up robust and reliable email delivery with SSL/TLS encryption, authentication etc.

The plugin, can’t and won’t fix your broken SPF/DKIM/DMARC policies or expired SSL/TLS certificate – no plugin can. There are fine online tools to help you verify and configure these important SMTP details. Use them.

But if you make sure the foundation for reliable email delivery is in place, you can configure WP Mail SMTP once, and call it a day. It’s been updated and maintained for years.

My sites have been sending 25.000+ emails without any hiccups.

Tip: The most prominent feature, lacking from the free version, is email logging. But your server, where you configure your SMTP settings and email accounts, is likely to offer you some sort of email diagnostics tool and log, that you can use to verify delivery.

  • Hey @oldrup,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a rating and such a detailed review! It’s great to hear that you’ve sent that many emails without issues. You’re right that plugins can’t fix the issues you mentioned, and those particular areas are hugely important to reliable email delivery. And as you mentioned, once you have those in place, a tool like WP Mail SMTP can help make sure your WordPress emails are delivered effectively through your SMTP server.

Thanks again for the detailed review. We hope you continue to have a great experience with our plugin for years to come!

    Have a great day!
