remove “add new” in post type

    Is there a way to remove the “add new” in a post type? I’d like to create a post type called “contact information” which obviously just needs one.

    Only ways I can think of to achieve that would be either via admin-side CSS to hide the button or tweaking the roles and capabilities for the post type. Otherwise, it feels like that may be better suited as a page.

    Thank you! I like the idea with the page. That could work. I only want a possibility for my non-tech clients to be able to comfortably change the phone number, opening hours etc. on the whole website since they are often in multiple spots like contact page or the footer. I’ll try it that way!
