    Hey,

Thanks for the excellent plugin! But I need to remove the plugin for testing something. But when I uninstalled the plugin I noticed that the webp files are still available in the uploads directory. I have like 5000~10000 images on my server so that’s way too much overhead to backup and migrate my site.

I can simply delete the files with a simple command but is there any workaround for deleting the converted webp’s? Because I would not prefer to play around the terminal everytime I want to delete/edit stuff.

I read the article here for “completely sweeping” the plugin but it doesn’t mention anything regading the converted images.

    Thank you!

    Hi niranjan0,

There is a tool in the Tools menu for EWWW Image Optimizer that can remove all of the WebP versions. But, you still have to have the plugin installed. It’s a button that says “Remove WebP Images”.

    Hey @adamewww,

Thank you for the response, i figured that out as soon as I asked the question here. I also found out that, the wp cli can be used to do the same!

Thank you for your time, I’m marking this thread as resolved.
