Remove announcement excerpts

Hello,
I’d essentially like to be able to remove the announcement excerpts (the text) from the timeline page(s) entirely, leaving just the title and the banner. I have a tooltip plugin that messes up with the text is displayed. I can easily live without any excerpts displayed on the timeline (in fact, it might make it more readable) – if I remove the excerpts, the problem goes away.

Anyone can help? Doesn’t seem to be any option for this in the settings in the menu…
