If I set the hook remove blogname, the meta title looks like this:

Radeon RX 590 im Test bei PCGHPrad.de

Normal: Radeon RX 590 im Test bei PCGH – Prad.de

I think it should look like this: Radeon RX 590 im Test bei PCGH

I use SEO Framework Version 3.1.4

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there!

There’s a checkbox provided on each front-facing page, within the “Produkt SEO Einstellungen” meta box. The option name is “Blogname entrfernen?”.

Enabling that should resolve your issue. You may also change the meta title in the field above that to whatever you wish 🙂

Enabling that should resolve your issue. –> I know

But if the meta title is too long, I want to deaktivate the checkbox.

When I enter in the above field e.g. “This is the meta-text”, then “- Prad.de” automatically appended (light gray) via SEO Framework. If I disable the checkbox “- Prad.de” fade out. The text is only “This is the meta-text”. So far everything is correct.

But in the page source text is displayed: “This is the Metatextprad.de”. And that is wrong.

Or I do not understand the function.

    Hi again 🙂

What you see in that field should be the front-end result. Anything other than that, and it’s a bug, conflict, or a minor discrepancy between JS and PHP. It’s definitely not the latter, but it’s likely a plugin conflict.

It’s curious, as it works fine without the option checked. I wonder if another plugin (or theme) is testing the title output, and combobulating the site title into it.

I’ve also noticed you’re using a caching plugin. WP Rocket is generally not a culprit in this, but could you flush the cache, to be sure?

If that doesn’t work, could you create a test page on your website which mimics the page described, but with the “Remove the blogname?” option checked? To make such a test page, be sure to check all the marks on the “Visibility” tab for it; this will prevent others from easily catching it. You can let me know of the said page via my contact form.
