Hello SEOPress support team,
I am building a website for my client, where I have created custom post types.

https://domain.com/website/sober-living/template-one/. This is my custom post types URL. For the category archive, I want https://domain.com/website/sober-living/. But it is showing https://domain.com/website/website_category/sober-living/

In the SEOPress, I have already enabled Remove /category/ in URL. Please let me how I can fix the issue. When I was using rankmath, I wasn’t getting any of the issue. Please help me to fix the issue, otherwise I will no choice but to migrate to Rankmath.

Hi,

the remove /category/ option only works for “post”.

We have a similar option for WooCommerce products.

We don’t provide this feature for custom post type because it represents a huge risk of url conflicts and can severely damage your SEO / user experience.

The only plugin we recommend to handle this is Permalink Manager PRO because it handles duplicated URLs and everything related to URL rewriting.
