Remove category section from my POST

I did: Wrote a new post like normal

I saw: then i saw the category section listed on both the side bar… and is included in the post i wrote and a few other post as well.

I expected: Can someone inform me as to how i can remove the category section from the post. And keep the category section on the tool bar ?
