    Hello,
after the new update the error message “Payment_source_cannot_be_used” disappeared, thanks for that!
Now we would like to offer only the classic PayPal and pay upon invoice. Is there a way to remove the other payment methods like “pay later”, “direct debit”, giropay…?
Are only payment methods displayed that are activated within our PayPal account?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @cettrich,

    Thanks for the feedback!
You can disable other paymemt methods via the Hide Funding Source(s) setting: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#disable-APMs

PayPal automatically displays payment methods the buyer is eligible for. So buyers from Germany can see Später Bezahlen, giropay, Sofort, etc. while a buyer from the Netherlands would see iDEAL, or a US buyer may get the Venmo option.
Selecting everything in the Hide Funding Source(s) setting results in only the PayPal button being loaded.
    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

`It worked, thank you very much!
We additionally use Germanized’s multi-level checkout: Personal data -> Payment methods -> Confirm (overview and buy now). Currently you can select PayPal and PayPal Invoice payment methods at step two (without pretty buttons). For example, if you select PayPal in Step 2, then in the third step instead of “buy now” appear the remaining payment methods such as PayPal and Sofort. Can we list the individual payment methods all unified under step 2 payment methods, or is that not possible with a multi-step checkout?

    Many regards
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

This is not easy to achieve because of the dynamic nature of the Alternative Payment Method (APM) buttons as they load on the fly depending on the user’s IP address.
But the next feature update introduces a feature that lays the foundation to eventually make something like it possible.

PayPal currently provides all of the available APMs as a single block. So they are all rendered in the same iframe within the PayPal gateway. From the WooCommerce perspective, all the APMs, Pay Later, and PayPal are the same.

There will be an option to split the standard black credit card button out of the PayPal gateway into a separate gateway on its own. But other APMs remain within the PayPal gateway for the time being.
A little bit further down, standalone-APMs are on the roadmap. These would enable an individual gateway per payment method. But I don’t think this will happen this year.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
