Remove Comments from Under Post Title

I am running WordPress 2.7.1 and have disabled comments for my posts. However, there is still a “Write Comment” link directly under the post title.

Under the title “Redhead Avatar” and above “this is a redhead avatar” are the date, the link to “Write Comment” and the category.

How do I remove that bit of text/link? And, for that matter, the date to the left of it?

I want the category to remain, however.

I’m sure it’s a simple fix but for the life of me I cannot figure it out.
