remove comments off pages?

    I installed this plugin and then removed. Foolishly I configured the plugin so that commenting is also allowed on pages, which I had turned off before. After removing the plugin the comment option on pages is still there, even though every imaginable setting allowing comments on those pages are unchecked. How do I fix this, it is ruining my site! Thanks guys
