If in the HTML source you still see references to cache/autoptimize (I don’t) then clearing any page cache that might be involved (so wp rocket, but maybe you have page caching at your host too or cloudflar or …) should fix that deeveearr
hope this helps,
frank
Never thought of checking Cloudflare – I’ll let you know
No, it’s not Cloudflare.
I cleared all of the Autoptimize cache files out of my server files about two weeks ago thinking that might solve it, but it didnt.
I’ll have to get my theme developer onto it.
well, when looking at the HTML source I don’t see any reference to Autoptimize CSS-files any more deeveearr, so based on that there is nothing from AO left on your site? do you find instances of the “autoptimize” string in the HTML source when you look?
Well its got to be something to do with Autoptimize, as before I installed it, everything was working fine.
Then after installing, everything went the wrong colour.
On deactivating/deleting, everything went back to normal except for the sticky menu and the Age Gate.
There were no instances of Autoptimize in the source code when I checked after, which is why I had to manually pull the Autoptimize cache instances out of my host’s cpanel to see if that would work.
Onlinemediamasters have got a lot to answer for!
Autoptimize makes no changes in the original CSS (or JS)-files, so I’m afraid the fact things are broken even after AO was removed (and confirmed so by the HTML source) looks like coincidence (or bad luck) really .. :-/
Sorted it.
Deleted WP Rocket and set up some new strict page rules on Cloudflare.
Re-activated WP Rocket, set all my options and let it search for un-used CSS.
Deleted the new Cloudflare page rules, and after a few little burps and farts, the website returned to normal.
that was some nice juggling you had to do there, but happy all is well now deeveearr 🙂
