Would you mind posting what the error is? I’m not receiving one when I use that plugin on my testbed.
Sorry for the delay. This appears to be the error:
mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_types() on null in /…/wp-content/plugins/breadcrumb_navxt_remove_curitm.php on line 35
Let me know if you need more details.
You are using an out of date version of Breadcrumb NavXT (pre-5.7) which is not compatible with the latest Remove Current Item Extension Plugin. Depending on what version of Breadcrumb NavXT you are using, there may be an older version of Remove Current Item that will work, see https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT-Extensions/commits/master/breadcrumb_navxt_remove_curitm.php
However, I strongly encourage you to upgrade to the latest version of Breadcrumb NavXT.
I am using the latest, 5.7.1.
Have deactivated and re-activated and still have same error. Results in a white screen at the front end but admin functions fine.
Please double check that you have Breadcrumb NavXT 5.7.1 installed and that it is the version that is active. The only way you should see an error like this is if you are not using Breadcrumb NavXT 5.7.x or newer.
You are correct. The plugin was reporting the version 5.7.1, however deactivating and deleting followed by an automatic install from the WordPress Plugins Directory resulted in the correct behaviour. Odd that the latest version was being displayed.
My shortening of the breadcrumbs is only required for mobile (phone) views, it would be nice if the full length was still available on tablet and desktop views. I’m not sure if this is possible with CSS and without the extension?
Thanks for the help and for the plugin. Much appreciated.
