What exactly do you want to remove?
Users of what level? (there are at least 10 levels 😉
All subscribers, when they go in their profile, I don’t want them to have the DASHBOARD LINK in their profile… It’s useless to them…
I guess the reason why nobody really wants to jump in is that it would involve modifying several core files – which is not a good idea ever; and also applying some if (conditional) statements in wp-admin/ files.
If you are so “protective” of your dashboard – why do your require registration?
And next time don’t bump – I’ll delete it!
Sorry, I didn’t want to bump.
The dashboard is fine, I just don’t want them to have access to the atual Dashboard link in the dash.

I don’t want them to have access to this Dashbaord option… But for the admin yes, but not for subscribers…
I know exactly what you arwe saying. And I’ve explained why nobody feels like telling you modify core files – if you don’t know exactly what are you doing. After that you’d come saying we screwed up your blog…
Anyway, on your own responsibility: after making a backup edit the wp-admin/menu.php – line 7. Change the ‘read’ parameter to whatever level you want.
Read also the comment text at the top of the file!
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it!
